Azaleas are flowering shrubs from the Rhododendron family. Small growing evergreen and deciduous varieties.
Dwarf Azaleas tend to be Japanese evergreens. They have a compact growth habit with dainty leaves and beautiful long-lasting blooms.
The long-lasting flowers will cover the whole shrub. Azaleas are easy to grow, they are shade tolerant, so great for growing under trees or adding some colour impact to a drab area in the garden.
No regular pruning is required, just the removal of any dead, or damaged wood.
Older plants can become leggy, hard prune after flowering, followed by a feed and regular watering will rejuvenate and encourage new growth.
