Aureomarginata is a compact evergreen shrub. Not reliably hardy in exposed conditions. Does not like being transplanted.

Leathery dark green leaves with a golden yellow edge. The flowers are clusters of fragrant purple-pink in early spring. Plant in full sun or part shade in moist well drained soil.

Grows to 1.5m height and spread.

All parts of this shrub are highly toxic if eaten, sap may irritate skin.
